Renault Espace F1
The Renault Espace F1 is a show car manufactured by Matra for Renault. Designed by Thierry Métroz, the Espace F1 celebrated ten years of the Espace and Renaults successful involvement in Formula One. Despite it resembling a Espace with substantial bodywork changes the Espace F1 shared more in common with that of a Formula One car. It was powered by a 789 horsepower 3.5L Renault RS5 V10 from the Williams FW15C mated to a 6-speed sequential semi-automatic shifted using buttons on the steering wheel, in addition to being fitted with carbon ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot SX slick tires; it has a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph). Two were produced, one functional show car and another a static model; the functional show car is located at the Matra Museum in France while the static model is kept by Renault at their Flins factory.
