'16 Camaro SS

The Chevrolet Camaro is a pony car produced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors over six generations. The sixth generation of the Camaro, styled by Hwasup Lee, was launched in May 2015 as a 2016 model year model following a "month long teaser campaign". This generation of the Camaro uses the GM Alpha platform shared with the Cadillac ATS and CTS models; GM claims that "70 percent of architectural components" are unique to the Camaro. Trim levels at launch included the LT and SS models, the Camaro SS being equipped with a 6.2L LT1 V8 and two transmission options, a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic; the SS featured two trim levels, the 1SS and 2SS, both having slightly different equipment. The Camaro would undergo a facelift in 2019.
