Hako Type D

Debut: 2025 Designer: Bryan Zhao 3 releases · 3 case appearances Wiki ↗

Hako Type D is a 1980s Japanese-style coupe. The vehicle is inspired by various period-correct Japanese vehicles, such as the Toyota AE86 and Supra, Mazda RX-7 and Nissan Silvia. This was Bryan Zhaos first Hot Wheels design since returning to Mattel full-time. The casting was originally named Supotsuka FR; its name was changed due to it being "too hard to read"; "supotsuka" is an approximation of the Romanization of "sports car" in Japanese (スポーツカー), while FR refers to the cars layout.
