'69 COPO Corvette
This model represents the 1969 Central Office Production Order (COPO) Corvette. COPO was an ordering mechanism that allowed certain customers, usually car dealers, to spec out cars with non-standard parts and accessories. This system gained fame in the late 1960s when it was cleverly utilized to create high-performance versions of Chevrolet cars, such as Camaros and Chevelles; they also included the iconic Corvette, making the term “COPO Corvette” synonymous with rarity, power, and collector’s appeal.
