Baja Truck
Baja Truck is a depiction of a slightly futuristic trophy truck. It was featured in many forms of media, such as the numerous Team Hot Wheels media it appeared in. It is driven by Wyatt in Team Hot Wheels: The Origin of Awesome! and Mac in Hot Wheels: Lets Race. The Baja Truck was driven in a publicity stunt at the 2011 Indianapolis 500 on 29 May 2011 where it jumped 332 ft (101.2 m) on road shaped like Hot Wheels track; it was driven by stunt driver Tanner Foust during the event. The truck was constructed by California-based ES Motorsports to Pro2 specifications and are powered by an 870 horsepower 500 ci (8.2L) Ford Windsor V8 engine mated to a General Motors TH-400 3-speed automatic. The casting was first retooled in 2013 with no major changes, before being retooled again in 2019 with a larger rear plastic portion.
