'71 Dodge Challenger
The Dodge Challenger is a pony car produced by the Dodge division of Chrysler starting fall 1969 for the 1970 model year. Designed by Carl Cameron, the Challenger had a longer wheelbase and more spacious interior to compete with the Mercury Cougar and Pontiac Firebird introduced around the same time. Challenger production declined sharply after 1970 and halted midway through 1974 due to declining sales. 165,437 were produced. This is a depiction of a 1971 Dodge Challenger with an optional shaker hood and Mopar Go-Wing. The tooling was updated in 2013 for cost-cutting, with the plastic wing now cast into the body.
