Jaguar Mk1
The Jaguar Mark 1, referred by Jaguar as the 2.4 Litre or 3.4 Litre (the "Mark 1" name was retroactive), was a British mid-size executive car produced by Jaguar Cars from 1955 to 1959. This was Jaguars first small sedan since the 1½ and 2½ Litre cars were discontinued in 1949, with the Mark 1 ending up becoming a big success for Jaguar, easily outselling their larger sedans. The car was replaced in 1959 by the Mark 2. 37,397 were produced. This casting features hidden engine detail when taken apart. The initial livery is a depiction of the Jaguar Mark 1 driven by British classic car racer Grant Williams, featuring the british "BUY 1" license plates used on an identical racing Jaguar in the late 1950s. The license plates on the 2024 and 2025 releases are a pun on the "buy one get one free" deal; the "BUY 1" plate in the 2024 release is on Williamss actual car and the 2025 releases have "GET 1" to complete the pun.
