Switchback

Debut: 2003 Designer: Eric Tscherne 4 releases · 0 case appearances Wiki ↗

Switchback is an original design by Eric Tscherne that first debuted in 2003. It depicts a lowered California custom pickup truck with large wheels and surf boards inspired by stylistic elements of the Ford F-100 series. It features a “dogbone” grill alongside a rear roll pan and valance that accentuate its twin pipes. The First Edition two-tone livery was chosen by Tscherne based off of hot rod paint schemes of the time. This casting was one of five new models created for the teams of the Hot Wheels: World Race film; each debuted in the Mainline prior to the motion picture. Switchback was featured in the Hot Wheels: World Race film driven by Alec “Hud” Wood.
