Vairstrike
Vairstrike is a heavily modified version of a 1965 Chevrolet Corvair with a bodykit, roof and rear spoilers, and extended intake scoop. The name is a play on "Corvair" and "airstrike". The blurb incorrectly mentions the Vairstrike as having an inline-six engine when the casting has a V8 engine (as seen by the four intake runners on either side next to the turbochargers) and actual Corvairs only having a flat-6 engine. The Chevrolet Corvair is a rear-engined compact car manufactured by the Chevrolet division of General Motors from 1960 to 1969 over two generations. The second generation Corvair, designed by Ron Hill and introduced in 1965, featured a pillarless redesign and used coil springs at each wheel as well as a 2.7L flat-6. The Corvair was largely unchanged for 1966 although it received a new 4-speed synchromesh transmission. 204,007 were produced for 1965.
