The Lamborghini Murciélago is a two-seat high-performance sports car manufactured by Lamborghini. Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, the Murciélago acted as Lamborghinis flagship car and the successor to the Diablo; the word "Murciélago" translates to "bat" and like most other Lamborghini cars is named after a fighting bull. It is powered by a 6.2L L537 V12 mated to a 6-speed manual; the engine produces 572 horsepower. The Murciélago was heavily revised in 2006 to become the LP 640 and was discontinued in 2010 to make way for the Aventador. 4,099 were produced.
