Eggshelleracer

Eggshelleracer is a dragster made of a spoon and broken egg. It was named by Craig Callum and is a play on AcceleRacers. In 2025, an egg-themed car was assigned as a design project. Several designers, including Phil Riehlman, Matt Gabe and Ronald Wong, had proposed different concepts during the ideation phase. Bryan Zhaos initial concept centered on a life-sized egg mounted on four wheels. The idea of incorporating a spoon beneath the egg was introduced by Craig, inspired by the British game egg-and-spoon race. The exposed twin engine configuration, along with the use of an egg carton motif as the cylinder head detail, was proposed by Fraser Campbell. The consolidated key sketch originally featured a rear spoiler. However, it was ultimately removed due to its visual similarity to the Head Gasket and also obscured the spoon element.
